Claus Hansen Kofoed and Elisabeth Gabrielsdatter Akeleye had one son.
In Østermarie old church was hung a banner, on which were marked the
Kofod weapon-mark, coat-of-arms and the following writing: "Herunder
hviler hans kongelige Majestæts til Danmark og Norge bestalter Major
Claus Kofoed fød den 7de Juli 1663, død den 11te Febru. 1743 i hans
Alders 80 Aar".
