Ellen Kirstine Esbersdatter inherited the rights to her parent's farm
Elleskovgård, 43' Slg., Østerlars, in 1804. On her marriage to Hans
Henrich the newly wed couple took possession of it in 1808. They
farmed it for the next 52 years until 1860 when their youngest son,
Svend Hansen Schou became the owner. The archives of the Ministry of
Agriculture contains the following description of the lands belonging
to Elleskovgård: 1. A main-lot around the farm in the western part of
the, by the heath and the oak-woods. 2. A meadow-lot north-east of
Hyldesgård. 3. A meadow-lot close north-east of above lot. 4. A field
and meadow-lot south-west of Krækket-woods. 5. A meadow-lot close
west of Krækket. 6. A meadow-lot north-west of Krækket. 7. A meadow-
lot close north-west of the last lot. 8. A meadow-lot close south-
west of above lot. 9. A meadow and shrub-lot in the western part of
the by the heath. 10. A meadow-lot a bit south of Krækket-woods and
south-east of Hyldesgård. 11. A field and meadow-lot close north of
Krækket. 12. A lot in the northern part of the, north-east of
Solbakkemollen and south of Pæregård. The farm-lands are all closely
situated, except for one lot. The area covers 92-4420/14000 Td. Land.
The value of the wheat yield is noted in the Land-Registry.
